It’s been exactly 1 year since we came up with the idea to build Gliffy, and now we’re ready to show it to the world. With this release we now have several symbol libraries:
- Flowchart symbols for Flow Process Diagrams,/a>
- UI wireframe symbols for User Interface Designs
- Floor plan symbols for Floor Plan Diagrams
- Network shapes for Network Diagrams
- Basic shapes for Any Diagram
The publish feature of Gliffy allows you to embed drawings in web pages, wikis, or blogs posts. Here’s an example (click to enlarge):
We’ve been working really hard on Gliffy, but we know there is much more to be done. Your feedback so far has been invaluable, and we would love to hear more. Send any feature or support requests to support(at)gliffy(dot)com.
Thanks!

I think this is great – I *just* had the idea for it – and tried to google for existing solutions.
You’ve got one loyal user with me :)

Great idea – good luck!
Looking forward to see maybe templates wizards, or upload/save your own template.
The UI seems easier than that of Insipration, and the Ajax magics are cool.
Wow — the interaction design on this app is just fantastic. Simple and smart, with everything pretty much behaving like you’d expect it to. Amazing work! I’m loving this.
I’ll feature this in my blog today. Cool tool!
Technical writers will be interested in this.
How applicable is Gliffy for deveoping and maintaining Organization Charts?
We don’t have Org chart shapes at the moment, but we will be adding more and more shapes as time goes on. For now, you can use basic shapes as a reasonable substitute.
