We're testing Confluence 2.8.1, and installed Gliffy 1.4 last week. The "Add Diagram" link is now missing from the space pages. Everything else seems to work fine, we can pull up a diagram in Gliffy 1.4 from previous versions, it's just the link that's gone. Any ideas on this? Thanks!

Thanks for writing. I have a couple of ideas, would you mind emailing me off-list so we can problem solve these one-at-a-time. I'll post the resolution here when we find it!
Thanks, support at gliffy dot com Debi K |

I have created a Jira issue for this problem here:

We dont have a resolution today, but we do know why and our options for fixing this. Please view the posted link to our internal issue tracker above for more details on the problem and the steps we are taking to resolve it. In the meantime, thanks again for sending the issue in to us. Only certain builds are going to experience the missing link - so , we appreciate you brining this to our attention.

I changed our test environment to the default theme, and the diagram link is now working. It had been set on the classic theme, which I'm sure came from our restoring a backup of production to test.

Please note that Gliffy has created a work around for this topic.
You can find a full explaination here: http://jira.gliffy.com/browse/GLIFFY-706 For the resolution, please: Enable the feature in the plugin "Legacy Add Diagram link" A bit of background, the reason you cannot see the 'add diagram' link is because you are running a Theme that is not Confluence 2.8+ compliant. Solution: While we cannot change the theme you are using, we did create a work around. This was designed to allow the ability to see the Add Diagram link for instances where users prefer to use themes that are not 2.8+ compliant. Please let us know if you are unable to use this as a solution for your installation, Thanks! Debi K |

Hello!
Just upgraded out test environment to Confluence 1.10, Gliffy 1.4.1 and faced same problem. I enabled "Legacy Add Diagram link" at plugin modules as proposed here but it doesn't help. We use Adaptavist Theme Builder for project space theme and link to "Add diagram" is configured as Code:
{menuitem}{menulink:webui|location=system.space.actions|key=gliffy_system_space_add_diagram_action}Add diagram{menulink}{menuitem}

You will need to update the key and location you are using in your webui macro.
The current key you are using: gliffy_system_space_add_diagram_action has a condition that prevents it being displayed on confluence builds after 2.8 The new gliffy add diagram webui item can be referenced by: key: gliffy_system_space_add_diagram_menu_action location: system.content.add/space (You won't need to enable the legacy add diagram web item once you update since you are using the newer link.) |
