There’s so much we have to be grateful for, even though the time of turkeys and pilgrims and pies is not yet upon us: We live in a beautiful place, we work with an amazing team, we love what we do and we have some of the best users (if we do say so ourselves). What’s even better is that we get to show our appreciation for those who are doing meaningful, selfless work.

The mission of The Hidden Genius Project (HGP) is to train and mentor underserved black male youth in technology creation, entrepreneurship, and leadership skills to transform their communities in the present and future. HGP is focused on unlocking career paths in (but not exclusive to): Software Engineering, User Experience Design and Technology Entrepreneurship.

Larkin Street provides youth between the ages of 12 and 24 with the help they need to rebuild their lives. Each year more than 4000 youth walk through our doors seeking help. We give them a place where they can feel safe; rebuild their sense of self-respect, trust and hope; learn school, life and job skills; and find the confidence to build a future.

Soul Shoppe supports school communities by providing interactive programs and tools that teach students powerful learning and life skills. In addition to working with students, Soul Shoppe also supports its staff by creating and facilitating dynamic staff development trainings that give teachers the necessary tools to implement academic and personal growth.

The Telegraph Hill Neighborhood Center focuses on meeting the needs of a culturally, linguistically, and economically diverse community by providing a combination of free and low-cost programs, such as toddler care, preschool, after school activities, summer camp, personal development classes, senior programs, community celebrations, and the list goes on.

Nine Lives Foundation is a non-profit, no-kill cat welfare organization that rescues cats and kittens and places them in our shelter until they can be placed in permanent, loving homes. Nine Lives Foundation provides all necessary medical treatments for its shelter cats through its on-site veterinary clinic, including those with physical, medical or behavioral disabilities.
