SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., February 22, 2012 – Gliffy, a leading provider of online diagramming tools for enabling visually impactful, collaborative communications, today announced support for JIRA 5, a popular bug and issue tracker / project-tracking tool from Atlassian. The Gliffy JIRA Plugin, which is tightly integrated with JIRA, lets users create and edit diagrams, such as wireframes, networks diagrams, and UML from within JIRA. Thousands of software development teams have embraced the powerful combination of JIRA and Gliffy.
“As a technology partner of Atlassian, we have first hand knowledge of the incredible software development and collaboration tools they are making available for teams that are designing great products,” said Chris Kohlhardt, co-founder and CEO of Gliffy. “We are in lock-step with Atlassian and have made sure that the Gliffy Plugin for JIRA is ideally suited to help developers improve their workflow by including Gliffy diagrams right inside JIRA.”
The Gliffy JIRA Plugin allows users to:
> Create a large array of diagrams such as flowcharts, UI wireframes, floor plans, network diagrams, UML diagrams, or any other simple drawing or diagram.
> Add diagrams to JIRA issues by simply clicking the 'Add Gliffy Diagram' link shown on each issue screen.
> Draw and collaborate securely. All diagrams and flow charts created with the Gliffy JIRA Plugin are stored inside JIRA, so there is no need to implement additional backup procedures. Furthermore, since the plugin runs inside JIRA, any network security precautions you've implemented for JIRA will automatically be carried over to the Gliffy JIRA Plugin.
The Gliffy JIRA Plugin is available through the Atlassian Plugin Exchange (https://plugins.atlassian.com/search/by/jira), under the Drawing category (listed alphabetically).
Also, Gliffy is available through Atlassian OnDemand, as part of Atlassian's Hosted Commercial Add-ons program. Licenses can be ordered by logging into http://my.atlassian.com.
