Thanks to everyone who requested a layers feature. We heard you loud and clear. As always, your wish is our command.

Why Use Layers?
Layers are great for separating or grouping elements of your diagram. They also come in handy if you need to toggle attention back and forth between alternate diagram views.

Step-by-step Instructions
1. Create your diagram.
2. Click the layers button and either duplicate the existing one or add an additional layer.
3. Choose whether the first layer you created will be visible or not.
4. Create your second layer to either work with or separately from the first layer.
5. Rinse. Repeat.

Want a little more help? See below.

Getting Started:
To create a new layer, go to the toolbar, select layers, and click the plus button at the bottom of the dialog box. To rename your layer, double click on it.

Hiding Layers:
Click on the eye icon to make a layer visible or invisible.

Changing the Order of Layers:
Switching the order of layers will change which shapes are up front and which get sent to the back.

Locking & Unlocking Layers:
Locking a layer is helpful when you need to move one layer while leaving the other(s) in place.

Duplicating Layers:
To duplicate a layer, select the layer you’d like to copy and click on the duplicate layer button at the bottom of the dialog box.

Deleting & Moving Objects between Layers:
To delete a layer, select the one you’d like to remove and click the delete button. To move an object from one layer to another, select the object, then right-click it and choose which layer to move it to in the “send to” section.

Note:The lock/unlock icon keeps a locked layer from moving.
The eye icon allows you to choose whether a layer is visible or not.
